I am learning how to keep a blog so that Robert and I will be able to post entries and upload photos in the fall. Here is a photo of our apartment in Mountain Park (in Southwest Portland). They are in the process of redoing the siding and putting in new windows, so hopefully it will be much prettier on the outside in a few weeks! We both will be leaving Portland on September 6th, and Robert will be in Sapporo, Japan for study abroad while I will be Assistant Master for Willard Residential College at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Robert just found out his Japanese host family consists of a mother and father (in their 50s), 86 year-old grandmother, and a 31 year-old son (who likes snowboarding)! Sounds perfect for Robert! Now we just have to think of some great host gifts for Robert to bring to them.
We'll also be using this blog to post details and plans for our June 2007 wedding in Sacramento. I finally have my dress and am in the process of figuring out the colors (with my bridesmaids' help).
