Hello to all our friends and family. As of Sep 2007, Robert and I are no longer dating. However, we will leave this blog up for memories of some of our fun trips and times spent together.

Mom's Visit - Chicago Botanical Gardens

My mother and I took a trip to the Chicago Botanical Gardens in the afternoon (after I gave a final at Lake Forest). Although the weather could have been sunnier, we were lucky to catch the bulbs in bloom! Carpets of beautiful colors!

Tiptoeing through the tulips!

Oriental poppies...

When they all bloom, there will be over a thousand!

Crabapple trees were in bloom and were so fragrant!

Japanese Garden with its island of paradise in the middle

I loved these lacey tulips!

More colorful tulips....

These "bleeding hearts" are my favorites!

These pink and blue flowers were my mom's favorites!

More crabapple trees.....

I love these purple tulips!

And I like these upside-down tulips

I had a hard time getting this robin to cooperate-- he didn't want his photo taken!

Hi Summer and Whitney! I was lucky with the pictures, although Robert has taught me how to take better photos (he's had his own photos displayed in galleries and won photo contests). And Summer-- I'm not used to my mom's blonde hair, but I'll pass on the sweet compliment to her. She loves looking at all the photos and clips of your families! I've also been in touch with Tia since her new musical (High School Musical) is opening here in Chicago in August! Exciting!
